LX Factory – Lisbon

LX Factory - Lisbon

In the year 1846, the Lisbonense Spinning and Weaving Company, one of Lisbon’s most important industrial complexes, settled in Alcântara. This industrial area of 23,000 m² was later occupied by the Industrial Company of Portugal and the Colonies, the printing press of the Commercial Yearbook of Portugal, and Gráfica Mirandela.

A part of the city that remained hidden for years is now reintroduced to the urban environment in the form of LX Factory. This creative hub, occupied by businesses and industry professionals, has also been the setting for a wide range of events in areas such as fashion, advertising, communication, media, art, architecture, music, etc., creating a dynamic that has attracted numerous visitors to rediscover this area of Alcântara.

At LX Factory, particularly in its Fábrica XL hall, an industrial atmosphere is felt at every step. A factory of experiences where it’s possible to intervene, think, produce, present ideas, and products in a place that belongs to everyone and is for everyone.
